Tracing the

Lines of Laos

[Discovery Edition] 16 - 22 Oct 2026

With highlands and forests occupying more than 70% of its land, diverse cultures, crafts and traditions thrive alongside nature in Laos.

Meet and learn from the makers, artisans and communities safeguarding the arts, crafts and natural beauty of Laos. This journey will start in Vientiane, the modern capital of Laos, and end in Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage town. ​

DAYS 1 -2

Arrive in Vientiane, the modern capital of Laos, and settle into boutique accommodation. Visit Patuxay, a historic monument, to learn on Lao motifs and take in a sunset view of the city.

The next morning, try your hand at indigo dye at a century-old traditional wooden house complex managed by a family preserving the art of Laos textiles.

Take the high-speed train to Luang Prabang in the afternoon.

Admire the architectural gems of the royal landmarks at Luang Prabang. Hike up to Phousi Hill for sunset view. Be enchanted by a traditional storyteller who will share legends and folklores of Luang Prabang.

Spend the next day visiting a nearby village, to meet a Hmong shaman and traditional music instrument maker.

The following day, learn about the enduring role of mulberry and saa paper, and meet master weavers involved in cotton spinning and silk cocoon reeling.

Enjoy sunset dinner along Mekong River.

DAYS 3-5

DAYS 6-7

Visit a local pottery village. Feel the local clay and experience Lao pottery making, with guidance from village members.

On our last day, head to a coffee farm hosted by a local roastery working with ethnic communities in northern Laos. You may pick coffee cherries and enjoy your own roasted coffee.

Important Notes:

The immersion will start at 4pm on 16 Oct 2026 (Friday) at Vientiane and end on 4pm on 22 Oct 2026 (Thursday) at Luang Prabang.

Please arrange your own flight tickets accordingly, to join and end with the group.

For those taking the return flight back home from Vientiane, rail tickets from Luang Prabang to Vientiane can be arranged on your selected date.
